3 Surprising Home Ingredients to Boost Your Health

Vinegar

Acetic acid can work wonders for you. Vinegar kills fungal spores and can help keep your home from spreading mildew and other pathogenic molds.

Molds in your home can cause a number of symptoms. Test yourself to assay your exposure to molds.

Use vinegar mixed with water to clean surfaces, such as mirrors, tiles, and grout. Inexpensive, effective and safe, vinegar is a must to have on hand.

Baking Soda

Sodium bicarbonate forms the base of the toothpastes I create for myself. Mixed in with coconut oil, essential oils like mint and vanilla, a packet of stevia and some charcoal makes a yummy blend that leaves a clean mouth feel.

You can test your stomach acid levels by adding a quarter of a teaspoon of baking soda into a half glass of cool water and drink it on an empty stomach in the morning. Time how many minutes it takes to produce belching; this reaction ideally occurs within 2 to 3 minutes.

Hydrogen  Peroxide

Diluted hydrogen peroxide at a concentration of 3% can help heal small cuts, gently deodorize armpits, and can be used as a mouthwash.

Remove earwax with three to six drops.  This will cause a bubbling that will sound like crackling that can be quite intense at first.

Mixing

  • Do not mix vinegar with hydrogen peroxide.
  • You can mix vinegar with baking soda for a sizzling-fizzing effect that can unclog your drains and scrub grouts. Remove the unpleasant scents and clean fruits and veggies with a soak and rinse.
  • You can mix hydrogen peroxide with baking soda for a deep clean. Try adding a small amount to your toothpaste!

The Bottom Line

A clean and functional home helps reduce stress and potential problem-causing funguses and bacteria.

Short and sweet and super neat.
