The benefits of chewing

If you do not feel wholly convinced of spreading the word about chewing, then allow me to ‘chew your ear off’.

The market for detoxing is a healthy and profitable niche in the health food supplements section. While many herbs and formulations support your emunctory organs we do our bodies a disservice when we eat, even healthy wholesome foods, without properly chewing. While a few meals eaten in haste may not alter our wellbeing, the problem arises when it becomes an unconscious habit, and years of this accumulate to a myriad of digestive, skin, mental, hormonal, and other health problems.

Generally, it may not just be a lack of chewing that is the primary issue but other poor lifestyle choices as well. Tackling long-lived ways of living cannot change overnight but empowering oneself with do-able tasks, such as chewing is a step in the right direction.

Earlier the focus was on gratitude. If we do not give adequate respect to our food then it is likely that we reflect a parallel disrespect towards our own selves. Our earliest nourishment was given with love, bringing back that sentiment isn’t easy but loving ourselves by our food choices is worth the effort because *you* are worthy of love.

Throwdown your best excuses and look them over with a critical eye. Make a decision for yourself to do your best.

You have got this. You can do it.
