Day 11 – 30 Day 30 Chew Challenge

Chew your liquids, drink your solids – with gratitude.

Where these words originated from is not known by this author, but the wisdom that springs forth from the concept is the happy goal of this particular challenge and that’s why I’ve added ‘with gratitude’ to the adage.

We’ve already discussed the role of amylase and also the necessity of knowing why we’re undertaking this challenge, so now the task to master is fostering a sense of gratitude.

Be grateful to have food.

Be grateful to have teeth.

Be grateful to have time to eat.

Be grateful to those who grew your food.

Be grateful to the store you purchased your food.

Be grateful for your good sense.

Be grateful to be able to smell the wondrous scents of food.

Be grateful for flavours.

Be grateful.

Gratitude brings with it the pleasure of the process.
