Tips and tricks to succeeding at the 30 Day 30 Chew Challenge.
- Know why you’re doing the challenge.
- So, why are you doing this challenge? Curiousity? Supporting your local naturopath’s enthusiasm for sharing health? Wanting to make and see a change for the better? Whatever your reason may be – congratulations and thank you! Knowing your drive and goal-setting can make all the difference in choosing to do something rather than resigning yourself.
- When you have a solid reason (or many reasons) to stick to a challenge, the changes are you’ll be more patient with yourself and the process.
- Aim for medium-sized bitefuls.
- ‘Bite off more than you can chew’ is a saying that has stuck around, possibly due to its moral lesson about greediness, but also for safety’s sake. Prevent choking on food by chewing throughly and waiting until you’ve swallowed your mouthful before talking.
- Too little food to chew on and you’ll just feel like a gerbil nibbling away.
- Keep your attention on your food.
- Televised dramas, heavy conversations, work, texting and cell phone games – these dilemmas and distractions have a place in our world -just not at the dinner table. Take time to organize your life so that conversations that need to be had, will happen. Put the screens and papers away -you will survive 20 minutes without them!!
