I love my body

by | Oct 12, 2020 | Uncategorized

Body positivity often relates to how we perceive the bodies around us, but at the core, if we seek true acceptance of others, self-acceptance must come first. Forming a sense of gratitude, respect, and care as daily maintenance is essential to balance out the media bombardment of happiness and satisfaction arising from external factors. Believing-in, trusting, and loving one’s own body nourishes our choices (foods, activities, clothes) and especially our relationships with others. We cannot teach children to love and honour themselves if we lack that motivation within ourselves.

Simple affirmations:

I love my body.

I love my body for the pleasures in life that I can experience.

I love my body for its graceful movements.

I love my body for the help and joy I bring to this planet.

I love my body for the life it allows me to live.

I love my body for the ability to love others.

I love my body for loving me.

I love my body.

I love my body.

I love my body.

Today, take some time to write about how you can better appreciate your body. Today, enjoy exercise and the feeling of truly being in your body. Today, enjoy meals, fruits, and nuts with mindfulness. Today, love your body.
