Slippery Elm Throat Lozenges

Following a recipe saves time, money, and often yields a successful endeavor rather than a disappointing result. Here is my recipe for creating simple lozenges to soothe the throat and quiet coughing.

  • 4 tablespoons organic non-pasteurized honey
  • 6 tablespoons powdered Slippery Elm
  • 1 teaspoon powdered Camu Camu
  • 10 drops Eucalyptus Radiata oil
  • 4 drops Lemon oil
  • 3 drops Oregano oil
  • 2 drops Black Pepper oil
  • 2 drops Nutmeg oil

Press and fold the oils and powders into the honey. Add more slippery elm if needed. Roll into marble-sized balls. Place in a dehydrator for an hour. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Place in a glass container and keep refrigerated.
