Raw Art

Raw; this three lettered words is making waves in the supplement industry and on plates in restaurants and in book titles appearing on the bestselling lists.

Eating raw carries so many benefits. Choosing to eat raw brings with it the support of the vegan movement, environmental awareness and good health. I advocate learning about the facts of raw fruits, vegetables, sprouting grains and seeds and incorporating this wisedom into a health regime. Cold weather climates adhere to cooked hearty meals and with the inclusion of raw dishes, health goals can be met without compromising warming meals.

One primary reason I particularly enjoy raw is the sheer beauty in the arrangement of prepared foods. Colours abound and delight the senses.

Meditation through colour is a technique I employ in my reflexology practice. The reason I do this, focusing on colours, is because the mind can ‘see’ a colour and use visualization very simply without needing complex scenarios. Colours carry a significance of clarity and calmness. Raw foods can do likewise, with an easy does it approach.
